Aaron Raymond is a ceramic artist creating functional pottery from his home studio in beautiful Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia. Aaron loves creating items that not only look unique and beautiful but are equally as comfortable and enjoyable to use.

Aaron is a self-taught potter that started his pottery journey at the beginning of 2024. After renting a wheel for a week, he says he was hooked, so decided to go all-in and purchase his own wheel, kiln, and glazes. Aaron says there have been LOTS of trial and error, but he has always enjoyed creative, hands-on work and problem-solving, which all are required in pottery.

Aaron’s work is inspired by his love of tile design and one of his favorite parts of creating is the textural aspect of adding the glaze “tiles” to his mug.
