Allison has been making jewellery since she was a child but says she took the long road to becoming a full-time maker. Allison’s journey has taken her through a biology degree, a career working in wildlife rehabilitation and land conservation, and a side-hustle-turned-full-time job as weightlifting and fitness coach, all while learning metalsmithing and making jewellery along the way.

In 2021, Allison finally launched my own business, Freebird Jewellery and Design. All her jewellery is hand fabricated in her home studio in Three Fathom Harbour, using silver, gold, and natural gemstones. Allison’s collections are inspired by her personal experiences and the natural beauty that surrounds her.
