Sara Van Mulligen

TOUR STOP #17

Sara makes gel prints out of local botanicals, seaweed, shells and other found objects. She turns her prints into a number of things including collages, candles, lanterns, jewelry, custom perfume roller balls, organic skincare packaging, stationery items and custom gifts.
Sara says she creates in order to get to know myself a bit better and out of endless curiosity. She experiments constantly with the process of creating for nervous system regulation. As a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman, Sara struggles with her inherent internal conflict; where ADHD feels the chaotic pull of novelty and excitement, while Autism longs for structure and organization. In Sara’s art studio, surrounded by such natural beauty, these two parts of her both finally feel at home because she lets them out to play without judgement. Sara loves sharing this process with others.
